(VIRTUAL) Having Hard Conversations (VIEW)
Having Hard Conversations: Leading & Communicating even when the conversation is hard
Ask Yourself:
- Who taught you how to have a hard conversation?
- What mistakes are you currently making because no one taught you that skill?
- Where can you acquire the tools to proactively avoid situations that lead to a hard conversation?
- Where can you receive a template to have a hard conversation when one is called for?
Consider…
- People have less than 8 seconds of attention-span
- There are multiple generations working side by side, all communicating differently
- No one has formally trained on exactly HOW to have a hard conversation
This session is designed to first, give attendees tools to reset expectations so as to reduce the number of hard conversations required in the workplace. Additionally, attendees will be given a “track” to run on so as to successfully navigate a hard conversation when one is required. Lastly, attendees will have the chance to role play a few situations so can practice these conversations in a safe environment.
What you will get from this session:
- How to reset expectations for yourself, your team and your workplace.
- How to proactively reduce or eliminate the need for a hard conversation .
- How to have a healthy and productive hard conversation when needed.
