Welcome to the Svitanok Ukrainian Dance Ensemble 2025-2026 Registration!

Ottawa's Svitanok Ukrainian Dance Ensemble focuses on training, performance, renewal and promotion of Ukrainian dance as a relevant and evolving art form in Canada's National Capital Region. The Ensemble aspires to:

1. Highlight its Ukrainian roots by developing meaningful and innovative choreography
2. Develop and train strong and sensitive dancers within a caring studio environment
3. Nurture Ensemble stability, resilience, and responsiveness
4. Undertake performances of all sizes and scales through community and stakeholder engagement
5. Implement a strong, welcoming practice and clear performance protocol

2025-2026 rehearsals will be held twice weekly: Sundays from 6:30 to 9 pm. (pre-rehearsal Dance FUNdamentals 6 to 6:30 pm.) and Fridays from 7 to 9 pm. All rehearsals will take place at The School of Dance (200 Crichton Street). Rehearsals will focus on training, development, choreography, and performance. A Svitanok Ensemble artistic-training team will lead and guide rehearsals in response to Ensemble goals and artistic direction. Performing opportunities will be considered throughout the season.
