Saratoga Joinery

All Saratoga Joinery members are invited to come to the shop for an expert-led presentation followed by open discussion and problem solving. Members are encouraged to bring questions and/or projects that they'd like to share or get assistance on.

• Topic: Getting to Know Domestic Hardwoods: Our experienced members will share insights on selecting the right wood for your projects, covering grain patterns, hardness ratings, workability, and finishing properties. We'll also examine the advantages and limitations of each species - from oak's durability and beautiful grain to pine's affordability and ease of use, and walnut's premium appearance versus its higher cost.
