NMP Update

Course Overview

This one-day Non-Medical Prescribing (NMP) Update course is designed for Primary Care clinicians who hold prescribing qualifications and wish to refresh and strengthen their prescribing practice.

The course provides an evidence-based update on safe prescribing, regulatory changes, and practical prescribing challenges encountered in General Practice. Participants will review key aspects of prescribing governance, explore drug interactions and adverse drug reactions, and update their knowledge of prescribing considerations for specific patient groups.

The programme also addresses antimicrobial stewardship and the safe prescribing of medicines for children and during pregnancy. By revisiting core prescribing frameworks and applying updated guidance, participants will enhance their confidence in delivering safe and effective patient care.
