Corrib RIB Run 2025
LOUGH CORRIB POWERBOAT RUN! - 18TH OCT 2025
The ‘PowerBoats in the West’ and ‘Corrib Rowing and Yachting Club’ are jointly delighted to present the 2025 Lough Corrib Powerboat Run in aid of this year’s chosen charity, Cancer Care West.
All size boats are welcome, however please be aware of average cruising speed (20-25 knots) and be aware that Lough Corrib can be quite challenging to navigate.
DEPART: 09:30 (Sharp), Saturday 18th October, CRYC Galway. Eircode: H91 R2K4
* Access to CRYC slipway from 7am (Sat 18th) for launching. For those who wish to make a weekend of it and are arriving to Galway on Friday 17th October, CRYC gate will be open between 6pm-9pm to store trailers. Trailers / boats may be stored over-night Friday 17th / Saturday 18th October but must be removed by mid-day Sunday 19th October.
* Drivers briefing at 09:00 at CRYC Clubhouse.
* Departing CRYC at 09:30
* Arriving Inchagoill approx. 11:00
-Pack a picnic and take a walk around the island. Guided historic tours provided by Niall O’Flaherty (voluntary)
* Depart Inchagoill 12:30
*Travel inland towards world famous Ashford Castle for its spectacular views from the lake (weather pending)
* Arrive Maam Valley (Keanes of Maam / Maam Bridge) approx. 14:00
- Refreshments available at Keane’s of Maam. Sandwich platters are being generously sponsored by Keanes of Maam, however, a donation of €5 is requested per person if you wish to be fed. There will be various meat / vegetarian / cheese free sandwiches available. Food will only be catered to those who have indicated so by way of €5 donation
* Depart Maam 16:00
* Arrive CRYC at 17:45 (Sun-Set 18:30)
* Food served CRYC at 18:30 (Food MUST be booked in the next section due to logistics. No booking - no food!). Menu TBC but there will be a choice of beef / chicken / vegetarian. €10 per person
Bring your boat and some friends for this great day out!
Vessels should be capable of cruising speed of 20-25knots.
Please ensure you carry enough fuel for 70nm.
No fuel available en route.
No Charts of the area will be provided.

Note - this will be a full day on the water. Please dress appropriately and carefully consider if suitable for young children.

Note: Jetskis are strictly banned from launching from club property - this is beyond our control.
It is assumed that all vessels are adequately insured. Lough Corrib is very rocky and requires careful navigation. Charts are available to buy online. Organisers accept no liability whatsoever. Note that this is a suggested casual cruise in company, not an official event.
Monies raised will be donated to Cancer Care West.
Registration closes: Wed 15th Oct @ 12:00 due to logistical reasons (Food provisioning / arranging boat-yard etc.)
NOTE: On the next page, for 'add-ons' (food), you MUST enable the 'tick' to the left of each option you wish to enable. If you do not enable the 'tick', the option will not be added-on. You can double-check your order is correct as the final amount payable will increase from the €50 registration when an add-on is successful
