Elemental Studios

Ready to take your Ceramics skills to the next level? This class is designed for teens ages 12-17 who have prior experience with ceramics, whether at Elemental Studios or another studio or school, and want to expand their knowledge and technique.

In this 8-week course, students will move beyond the basics, tackling more advanced forms like lidded jars and thrown-and-altered pieces. They'll refine their wheel-throwing skills, gaining greater control over form and technique, while also exploring the exciting possibilities of combining wheel-thrown and hand built elements.

On the decorative side, students will dive into more intricate surface design methods, including sgraffito, slip trailing, and other techniques to add depth and detail to their work. Throughout the class, they'll focus on both technical mastery and creative expression, developing their own artistic style while continuing to build confidence in the studio.

This class is perfect for young artists who want to challenge themselves, explore new forms, and take their ceramics practice to the next level.
