Jan - Mar Homeschool KIDS ART (Mondays 10:30-11:30 AM) - 12 Weeks
Overview
Designed especially for homeschool learners, this daytime studio class blends skill-building with creative exploration. Students learn painting and drawing techniques in a calm, focused environment that encourages curiosity, confidence, and self-expression.
What Students Will Learn
- Foundational techniques in drawing, shading, and colour mixing
- Step-by-step guidance to complete both short studies and finished artworks
- Art vocabulary and principles aligned with visual arts curriculum expectations
- How to express ideas visually while building a cohesive art portfolio
Why It Matters
Art gives homeschool students a hands-on, tactile break from academic work while developing observation, focus, and fine-motor skills. It’s a powerful way to nurture independent thinking and creative problem solving — essential skills for lifelong learners.
End Experience
Each student leaves with a small portfolio of completed works and the confidence to continue independent art study or progress into the Portfolio Track at Arts on Fire.
