Sun West Art Club

This month’s classes are an immersive exploration of subtlety, light, and texture, designed to challenge and refine your perception and technical skills. The class will emphasize creating compositions where white and near-white hues dominate, using watercolor’s unique translucency to capture delicate variations in tone, shadow, and form. Students will learn to manipulate minimal color palettes—ivory, cream, pastels, pale grays, and soft beiges—while leveraging the white of the paper and dark accents as active elements of contrast in their artwork. Supply list available upon request. Please bring a drawing or photo from which to work in class.
