Little Orator Essentials B (1st-3rd)
What they will learn: In this foundational course, students will learn basic public speaking skills through personal storytelling and structured speeches. Through interactive activities, mini speech practice, and peer feedback, students will master essential communication techniques including eye contact, voice projection, gestures, and delivery skills. Part A focuses on personal storytelling and sharing experiences, while Part B introduces persuasive and entertaining speeches with supportive details. Students will also develop our signature QD Habits (Life Skills) for effective communication.
How it applies to the real world: Students develop fundamental communication skills that build confidence for classroom presentations, show-and-tell, social interactions, and expressing ideas clearly with peers and adults. The storytelling and speech organization skills enhance their ability to share experiences, persuade others, and communicate effectively in academic and social settings throughout their lives.
Deliverable: By the end of each part, students will participate in a Presentation Day where they deliver a final speech showcasing their communication growth, demonstrating improved confidence and foundational public speaking and delivery skills.
Parts A and B can be taken in any order and are designed to be non-sequential.
