What they will learn:
This introductory course teaches students to think on their feet and speak persuasively using a simplified debate format. Through guided practice and skill-building drills, students learn to form quick arguments, organize ideas under pressure, and respond to opposing views in real time.
How it applies to the real world:
Spontaneous Argumentation (SPAR) builds confidence, critical thinking, and the ability to communicate clearly and respectfully—skills used in class discussions, interviews, and everyday conversations.
Deliverable:
Students will participate in multiple Spontaneous Argumentation (SPAR) rounds during class and a final live debate, preparing them for future competitive debate classes and tournaments.
