How it applies to the real world:
Competitive impromptu speaking strengthens critical thinking, adaptability, and persuasive communication—skills essential for leadership, academics, and professional success. Students learn to think deeply, argue effectively, and speak confidently under pressure.
Deliverable:
By the end of the course, students will present multiple tournament-style impromptu speeches, participate in mock rounds, and receive targeted feedback to prepare for local and national speech competitions.
*Prerequisite: Students enrolling in this class must have taken at least 1 semester of Art of Public Speaking, Introductory Limited Prep, or completed advanced Little Orator classes.
