In the poetry class we will do close readings of favorite and new poets. We’ll write in a variety of styles and forms. Such techniques as modeling, stream-of-consciousness writing, revisions strategies will be explored. Along the way, we’ll pick up some performance techniques since poetry is an oral art Please bring a journal for your in-class writing.
