Drawing, Painting, and Mixed Media: A 12 week Journey Through Color and Creativity

Program Description: 

Over twelve inspiring weeks, young artists will explore the world of visual art through drawing, painting, and mixed media. Beginning with the foundations of line, shape, and shading, students will learn to see like an artist—observing the details of the natural world around them. As their confidence grows, they’ll experiment with watercolor or acrylic paints, discovering the magic of color mixing, composition, and creative expression.

In the final weeks, students will blend their skills into vibrant mixed-media artworks that combine paint, drawing, collage, and natural textures. Each session invites exploration, imagination, and hands-on discovery in a welcoming, process-focused environment.

By the end of the course, every student will have created a small portfolio of original artwork and will share their favorite pieces in a culminating gallery showcase.

All materials will be provided. Small class sizes.
