Join facilitator Heather Cookson as we transform Divis Ed into a courthouse! This legal adventure will allow participants to delve into an exciting Romeo and Juliet-themed civil law simulation through assuming roles of attorneys, members of the jury, defendants, witnesses, and courtroom personnel. They will prepare the case and conduct a trial, learning to use statements of fact and witness affidavits to determine their positions.
...Should Friar Lawrence be held accountable for marrying Romeo and Juliet without parental consent? Should he have administered a potion to Juliet causing so much confusion? What great questions to ponder, especially for those who have read this famous Shakespeare tragedy!
