Welcome to Intro to Improv 1!

You’ve chosen the right place to play games, meet friends, and learn some pretty cool things. Your weird sense of humor is encouraged by one of our expert instructors as you are led through some of the most ridiculous group games you’ve ever played.

Unlike regular life, our improv classes are a safe place for you to get weird. Take a class and pretend you’re a scientist creating a monster without your family telling you to shut up. Eat an imaginary hamburger without your boss clearing their throat and walking away. Give an inspirational speech as a Super-Bowl-winning coach to a hopeless team without getting kicked out of Kohl’s.

Improv lets you explore the goofy with a bunch of new, soon-to-be friends in a safe environment guided by one of our many talented instructors.

Improv is hilarious but don’t be surprised if you also learn some amazing lessons along the way. Improv will teach you about things like human nature, communication, awareness, public speaking, mindfulness, and of course… live performance. Learning is better with laughing and that’s exactly what improv does.

Beginning with intro 3 the Planet Ant Training Center semester concludes with your performance in our Student Showcase on Planet Ant’s Main Stage!

Improv Program Overview

Intro Levels 1-4
This section of our improv classes is designed with the beginner in mind. Each level takes students through the beginning of their improv instruction with a focus on fun and engagement. Intro Level 3 is the first class that concludes with a performance in our Student Showcase.

Intermediate Levels 1-3
Here students are able to deep dive into the basic concepts of improv and its performance. Topics such as character, environment, object work, game, and more are explored.

Advanced Levels 1-3
Students in the advanced levels are given more rigorous instruction, a midterm show, and a showcase performance as they explore the full gamut of long-form improvisation.
