Students will learn techniques for drumming, how to feel the beat and read drum music, along with fuse drumming, which is a form of bucket drumming and lots of fun!

You don't need to have a drum kit at home, but students will need to have a pair of drumsticks (about $12) and the Learn to Play the Drums Book One by Andrew Agutters (up to $45).

Students who have done two years on another instrument (keyboard, recorder) will have a strong foundation in rhythm reading and be encouraged to take part in the Wind Band's percussion section.
