For students who are new to learning the Alto saxophone.

Two years' prior learning on the Recorder is a great bonus to Saxophone players, but not strictly needed.

We have made the hire for Alto Saxophones free for 2026, to encourage enroments.

This instrument only comes in an adult size, so students sometimes need to wait until their hands are big enough (around 10 years).

Students have the option of playing in the Wind Band when they have reached a more advanced level, along with progressing to the Tenor Saxophone.
