Sailing Skills and Seamanship: The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary's 12 week Sailing Skills and Seamanship Course (SS&S) is a comprehensive course that will prepare a sailor with the basic information needed to operate sailboats under a variety of conditions. This course will be held online via Zoom along with our Boating Skills and Seamanship course. Sailing chapters will be presented after chapters that match in both courses have been completed. The required book for this course is available as a book, e-Reader, or Kindle by searching for "Boating Skills and Seamanship 14th edition".
Note: This course has been reformatted as an online course to make it more accessible. It no longer carries a National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) certification or a Boaters Safety Certificate.
