Welcome to our Kids Clay After School Program!

This program is designed for ages 7-11

Our program is structured for 1 class every week for 4 weeks! 4 Classes total. Book 4 classes for $130 or 1 class at a time for $35.

Each class is from 4-5:30pm on Tuesdays

located at NW Ceramics Studio in Phoenix!

Kids will explore working with clay in a safe space where they can express their creative self! Throughout the weekly classes, students will develop fundamental skills of working with clay by learning pinch, slab and coil techniques. In addition to hand building skills, students will be able dive deeper into learning the inner workings of a ceramics studio while working together as a group for cleanup at the end of each class. 

Weekly clay projects will be introduced and vary from functional mugs and bowls to whimsical fairy houses. An instructor will be there to guide and support each child through the making process. Students will also develop an understanding of the glazing process. In the final steps, kids will be able to watch their pieces come to life by adding colorful glaze to their creations. 

NW Ceramics would like to encourage an art focused learning environment where experimentation is valued and not necessarily quantity. We embrace every vision a child has if they would like to expand on the project proposed! 

Final pieces will be ready for pickup 3-4 weeks after the beginning of the making process. However, some thicker clay projects may take longer to dry and need an extra 1-2 weeks to be finished to take home. 

• All materials and clay in the cost of the program. 
• Ages 7-11
• Children must be dropped off and picked up inside the studio, no outside drop off or pickup available. Our safety for kids is our highest priority. 
• Prior to the beginning of the program, the parent/guardian must sign a youth liability waiver.
• All cancellations for refunds will incur a 3% transaction fee. Cancellations for the program must be done at least 7 days prior for a full refund. Between 3-6 days, a 50% refund is available and 2 days or less, a refund may not be available. Email staff@northwestceramicstudio.com for any cancellations or questions. 
• There are no refunds or make up classes available for missed classes.
