Introduction to Keum Boo, 3 hours, $150.00

This class will introduce you to the ancient Korean technique of Keum Boo. Keum Boo involves the fusing of 24 carat yellow gold onto fine or sterling silver. Students will go step by step through the process of preparing texturing silver, application of the gold, and finishing the piece in this quick paced course.

Class is limited to two students. Instruction will be by the discuss, demo, do methodology. Classes are conducted in an air conditioned/heated classroom.

Materials fee, $120.00 (paid directly to the instructor) includes a 1 x 2” piece of fine silver, a 1 x 1” sheet of 24 carat gold suitable for Keum Boo, and shop supplies. Additional gold sheet and fine silver will available from the instructor.
