Sanctum 1791

This class is for the absolute beginner to the advanced concealed carrier.

Students do not need to possess a concealed carry permit. 

Students do not need to have a pistol for this class, one can be provided at no cost.

The only prerequisites for this class are to bring 200 rounds of ammunition to class and your pistol if you have one.

If you are using one of the instructor’s firearms, please bring 200 rounds of 9mm.

This 8 hour plus class teaches you how to pre-plan and respond to shooting incidents. There are multiple classroom and range scenarios designed to build a repository of responses to violent encounters.

Blocks of instruction include:
Weapons Safety Children and firearms
The 4 ways people die from gunshots
Holster and fire arm selection for conceal carry
Development of personal Immediate Action (IA) plans for violent incidents
Mental preparation
Corrective action for malfunctions
Fundamentals of pistol marksmanship
Establishing personal standards of accuracy
Shooting during violent incidents
Practical application and scenario shooting during violent incidents

Steve has 21 years of active and reserve time in the Marine Corps and Army.  He combines his deployments, real life experiences, time as a scout sniper, firearms instructor, enduring student, and competitive shooter to bring you the most relevant and efficient shooting techniques.  Steve retired in 2017 and for the last 8 years has been training civilian and law enforcement. 

At Sanctum, Steve teaches one on one and very small classes to ensure focused, quality instruction and mastery of skills.  His classes are “Foundations for the Concealed Carrier” and “Shotgun for Home Defense”.
