🌸 Doll & Me High Tea — Holiday Fashion Lab (12/29)

Step into a charming world of creativity, sewing, and celebration! In this “Doll & Me High Tea” holiday workshop, kids spend a joyful day practicing machine and hand sewing as they create an apron for themselves and a matching project for their doll—an apron, a bib, a mini bag for treats, or even a simple slip-on skirt or dress. The day ends with an elegant, child-friendly high tea party set with vintage china, linen napkins, candlelight, petits gâteaux, and cookies—where kids not only practice table manners, but also learn how to look others in the eye, listen, and carry kind, confident conversations.

What We’ll Do

Sewing Projects – Each child will sew an apron for themselves plus a matching small project for their doll, choosing from:

• • apron
  • bib
  • mini treat bag
  • (time permitting) a simple slip-on skirt or dress

Bring Any Doll – From American Girl to Handmade dolls, or a favorite stuffed animal—everyone is welcome, and we’ll adapt projects to fit.

• Tea Party Setup – Students learn how to set a high tea table using vintage china, linens, and candlelight, practicing where everything goes and why.
• Manners & Connection – During tea, kids practice social etiquette: eye contact, taking turns speaking, asking questions, listening, and including everyone in the conversation.
• Tea Party Celebration – We close the day with a seated tea party—kids and dolls together—celebrating their creativity, kindness, and sewing accomplishments.

About the Experience
This workshop is a shorter, holiday edition of our summer camp, where kids normally explore pattern making, more complex outfits, and deeper tea etiquette, and wrap up with a special event where they serve their VIP guests (usually parents and siblings). This one-day version brings the same joy, elegance, creativity, and social-emotional learning—wrapped into a delightful seasonal experience.
