Want your team to step up, take ownership, and think for themselves? This practical half-day live online workshop gives managers and team leaders the tools to build a coaching culture — where people learn, grow, and perform at their best. Coaching skills are easier to learn and apply than you might think!

If you are going on, or have been to, our 8-week team leader program, do not book this course as it covers the same material.

By the end of the session, you’ll be able to:

    • Define what a coaching culture is
Understand what coaching looks like in everyday management, and how it supports performance and engagement.
    • Identify formal vs. informal, and push vs. pull coaching styles
Learn when to step in with direction, and when to step back to draw out ideas and ownership.
    • Create a delegation plan
Use coaching to delegate effectively — balancing trust with accountability so tasks actually get done.
    • Solve problems using a coaching approach
Guide your team to generate their own solutions, rather than defaulting to “I’ll fix it for you.”
    • Stop yourself from micromanaging
Recognise triggers and habits that keep you in the weeds, and practice letting go without losing visibility.
    • Check your perfectionist tendencies
Learn how high standards can sometimes hold your team back — and how to balance quality with empowerment.
    • Give developmental feedback in a variety of ways
Deliver feedback that builds confidence and competence, not defensiveness.
    • Use questioning and listening techniques for successful coaching
Develop active listening, open questioning, and empathy — the core skills of every great coach.
    • Help your team members to set SMART goals
Turn vague aspirations into clear, actionable goals that drive accountability and results.
