Weekly drama classes for Highfields Lindfield K-2 students

Learn to act, create and perform. Develop creativity, confidence and collaboration through drama. 

Every week, students work with a professional Teaching Artist to build acting, performance and creative skills, whilst also developing a deeper understanding of the world and of themselves.

No prior experience necessary.

Skills we will learn together

• Understanding basic elements of drama and how stories come to life onstage
• Using creative and investigative thinking to build characters and scenes
• Building emotional awareness and empathy by exploring feelings through characters and stories
• Strengthening imagination through creative play and improvised storytelling
• Learning to work as a team by listening, taking turns, and supporting classmates during play and performance
• Developing confidence and stage presence by practising being seen, being heard, and sharing ideas boldly
• Using voice and body with confidence (including diction, projection, spacial awareness and expressive movement)

Class Details

TIMES:

Kindergarten: 2:40pm - 4pm, Wednesdays, one class a week

Year 1: 2:50pm - 4pm, Wednesdays, one class a week

Year 2: 3pm - 4pm, Wednesdays, one class a week

2026 MSTYP Semester 1 dates

Term 3: Wednesday 11th February - Wednesday 1st April (8 classes)

Term 4: Wednesday 29th April - Wednesday 17th June (8 classes)

End of Term Performance

In the final week of each term, students will have the opportunity to showcase their newly developed skills. The last class will feature an Open Studio, where family and friends are invited to watch a demonstration or performance that the students have been working towards.

Cost

TERM:                                   $255 for 8 weeks

SEMESTER                          $484.50 for 16 weeks (with 5% discount)

Every sibling gets a further 10% off the term fee. Just enter the code 'SIBLING10' to redeem the discount on the second enrolment

Discount for Additional Classes

If your child wants to do more than one class in the same term, use the discount code 'MULTICLASS' and get $50 off your additional class. Offer not available for siblings, and valid only for weekly classes in the same term
