Safe Water Training

Mayo Course Dates - Saturday 20th, Sunday 21st & Monday 22nd December 2025

This course will cover the content from the Irish Sailing coastal navigation for small boats course and the advanced powerboat certificate course in a 3 day format with 25 hours contact time.

Course Overview

Day 1 - Shorebased navigation 8 hours approx (9am - 5pm approx)

Day 2 - Afloat, day navigation passage, night navigation passage. 10 hours approx (10am - 8pm approx)

Day 3 - Afloat, search patterns, rescue techniques. 7 hours approx (10am - 5pm approx)

All times are approximate and can vary from course to course depending on logistics, weather, tide and other variables that may be encountered. While we do our best to stick to the plan outlined, there may be times when the days and times will have to be adjusted to suit the course and location needs.
