This half-day course reviews best practices and current legislation for working safely at heights. It focuses on the practical use of fall protection systems and equipment, including hands-on experience with harnesses and other personal protective gear.
Topics Include:
- Fall hazard identification and warning methods
- Work positioning systems (e.g., scaffolds, elevating platforms)
- Personal fall protection systems, uses, limitations, and proper setup
- Practical exercises: inspecting, wearing, and using fall protection equipment
Certification:
Upon successful completion, you will be recertified for 3 years and receive a new Ministry of Labour-approved certificate.
What to Bring:
- Proof of completion of a MOL-approved Working at Heights training program (Learner ID or card)
- Valid government-issued photo ID
- If you have your own harness, feel free to bring it with you. However, it is not required—the instructor will provide a variety of harnesses and safety equipment for everyone to use during the hands-on portion of the course.
