Course description. Join the enthusiastic MFA Access Volunteers for a virtual exploration of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Each week, we’ll highlight a different area of the museum, showcasing both current exhibitions and hidden treasures from our vast collection. Through engaging discussions and vivid.images, participants will discover artwork on view and behind-the-scenes pieces rarely seen by the public. This inclusive experience invites art lovers of all backgrounds to connect, learn, and enjoy the richness of the MFA’s offerings from the comfort of their own space.

Details. There will be no homework. Each week our access volunteers will focus on a different area of the collection by sharing images and information about the pieces and will lead discussions with the group that are accessible to anyone, regardless of prior art knowledge. 

Instructors Bio. The MFA access guiding team provides multisensory participatory programs for a wide range of visitors both in person and virtually. Coming from a variety of professional backgrounds, the access team members volunteer their time with the MFA, have passion for the arts, and desire to share the collection of the MFA with visitors far and wide!
