Weekly drama classes for new and continuing students!

Learn to act, create and perform. Develop creativity, confidence and collaboration through drama. 

Every week, students work with a professional Teaching Artist to build acting, performance and creative skills, whilst also developing a deeper understanding of the world and of themselves.

No prior experience necessary.

Skills we will learn together

• Exploring the elements on drama and understanding how stories are shaped for the stage
• Using creative thinking and problem-solving to develop characters, scenes, and original ideas
• Building emotional awareness and empathy by examining character motivations and reactions
• Expanding imagination and spontaneity through improvisation and inventive storytelling
• Strengthening teamwork skills by collaborating, listening, and contributing to group performances
• Developing confidence and stage presence by practising clear communication and sharing work with an audience
• Using voice and body with control and expression (including diction, projection, spatial awareness, and expressive movement)

Class Details:

TIME:      ..    4-5pm, Wednesdays - one class a week.

DATES: ..…… Tuesday 10th February – Tuesday 31st March (8 classes)

LOCATION: ..Asquith Public School Hall

3 Dudley St, Asquith, Sydney - this class accepts students both at Asquith Public School and from other schools

AGE GROUP:   Students in School Years 4-6 in 2026

2026 MSTYP Semester 1 dates

Term 1: Tuesday 10th February – Tuesday 31st March (8 weeks)

Term 2: Tuesday 28th April - Tuesday 16th June (8 weeks)

End of Term Performance

In the final week of each term, students will have the opportunity to showcase their newly developed skills. The last class will feature an Open Studio, where family and friends are invited to watch a demonstration or performance that the students have been working towards.

Cost:

TERM:                                  $195 for 8 weeks

SEMESTER:                         $370.50 for 16 weeks (5% discount)

TRIAL CLASS:                .… Free for new students

Bring your sibling

Every sibling gets a further 10% off the term fee. Just enter the code 'SIBLING10' to redeem the discount on the second enrolment

Do another class

If your child wants to do more than one class in the same term use the discount code 'MULTICLASS' and get $50 off your additional class. Offer not available for siblings, and valid only for weekly classes in the same term
