Qualsafe Awards, ensuring full compliance with Health and Safety Executive (HSE) requirements for workplace first-aid training. Courses are taught using realistic, industry-focused scenarios by serving frontline Paramedics and experienced clinical instructors. We blend visual, practical, and kinaesthetic teaching methods to ensure learners retain vital life-saving knowledge and skills.


Training can take place at our dedicated training centre or at your workplace for convenience and reduced downtime. Additional learning support is available where required.

Every learner attending our First Aid at Work (FAW) Level 3 course will receive:

Course Overview

This in-depth 3-day course provides learners with the knowledge and practical skills required to manage a wide range of illness and injury scenarios in the workplace. It includes both practical assessments and theoretical learning, ensuring competence and confidence at a high standard.

The Qualsafe First Aid at Work (Level 3 RQF) course covers:

  • Roles and responsibilities of the workplace first aider
  • Incident assessment and scene management
  • CPR and safe use of an AED
  • Unresponsive casualty management (breathing & not breathing)
  • Seizures, choking, and airway obstructions
  • Wound management and bleeding control
  • Shock, anaphylaxis, and catastrophic emergencies
  • Bone, joint, and muscle injuries
  • Head, spinal, chest, and abdominal injuries
  • Burns, scalds, and eye injuries
  • Diabetes, asthma, epilepsy, and other major illnesses
  • Secondary survey and structured casualty handover (ATMIST/SBAR)
  • Workplace documentation and RIDDOR reporting

Learners will complete a combination of practical assessments and a written multiple-choice exam.


Payment & Cancellation Terms

By booking a course with JWC First Aid Ltd, you agree to the following:

  • Deposits are non-refundable once a place is confirmed.
  • Cancellations within 3 days of the course start date are not eligible for a refund.
  • Full course fees must be paid before attending, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Non-attendance on the training day is charged at 100% of the course fee.
  • Course places are non-transferable without prior written agreement.
  • Requests to transfer to another date must be made more than 7 days in advance. Transfers within 7 days may incur an administration fee and depend on availability.
  • If JWC First Aid cancels or reschedules, learners may choose a full refund or free transfer to another date.
  • Learners must ensure they meet any prerequisite requirements before attending (if applicable).
  • Certificates are issued only once full payment has been received and all assessment elements have been successfully completed.
