Looking to add more a little something extra to your memoir or essay? This class helps you create sensory experiences that will keep your reader engaged, specifically focusing on taking the reader into your unique world. Tailored specifically towards essayists and memoirists but open to writers of all genres, this class is meant to help craft attention grabbing scenes while braiding with a pisces overall thesis. Great for memoirists and personal essays writers that blend the personal and the external. 

This class will help you write party scenes as sexy as Eve Babitz and or as delightful dinners with Anthony Bordain. 

Students will generate with scene specific prompts and send the additional weeks revising to create the perfect blend of thesis and story. 

What to expect each class:

• Generative time to write and share based on prompts and exercises. 
• Extra time to focus on attention grabbing scenes
• Discussion of assigned readings that gives students examples of form and craft. 
• Time to give and receive peer feedback on work submitted by students each week and cheer each other on. 
• Coaching and guidance from Elizabeth.
