Wilderness First Aid: Volunteer Symposium
Health insurance is required to participate in the program.
This is an intensive two-day workshop that will teach students how to deal with medical emergencies when they are miles from help and dialing 911 is not an option. The curriculum is comprehensive, yet practical. It includes the essential principles and skills required to manage medical problems in isolated and extreme environments.
WMA annually trains over 10,000 medically and non-medically trained learners around the world. Their courses are hosted by colleges and universities, medical schools, camps, outdoor adventure companies, rural ambulance services, private industry, government entities and licensed training companies, which are independent companies owned by some of WMA’s excellent instructors licensed to teach WMA curriculum. WMA will train responders and practitioners needed for medical care in low resource settings, anywhere in the world
Please call (518-523-3441) for free lodging and meals. Please sign-up ASAP since we can only serve a large but limited number of people for meals.
