The Figure in Landscape by Andrew Sookrah
Course Overview: Learn and create from the comfort of your own home—no prior Zoom experience required! The first class includes a short tutorial to get everyone set up and comfortable with the platform.
Beginning with the principles of one-point and two-point perspective, artists will learn to combine well-proportioned sketches of the human form within a dynamic urban setting. Beginner and intermediate acrylic painting students will build confidence in figurative and landscape composition while also exploring elements of creative expression, including design, colour theory, pattern, depth, and texture.
This flexible, fun, and free-flowing class encourages beginners to experiment and gives experienced painters space to grow. Whether you’re a beginner or an intermediate water-media artist, Andrew will guide you through composing a strong base structure and lead you step-by-step toward creating at least two vibrant paintings. Andrew provides demonstrations throughout the session along with individual support. While group feedback is shared with everyone, some demonstrations will be done on individual pieces using a dedicated screen for clear viewing.
