Intuitive Defensive Shooting
Intuitive Defensive Handgun
Course Description
The Fundamentals of IDS Course is designed to introduce students of any background—general public, Church Safety Teams, School Resource Officers, and Commissioned Security Officers—to the core principles of the Intuitive Defensive® Shooting Program. This course provides a practical, efficient approach to defending oneself during a Dynamic Critical Incident by working with the body’s natural reactions under stress.
Students will develop an understanding of true Counter Ambush training, foundational defensive shooting skills, and a training methodology that supports continued improvement long after the course concludes.
Learning Objectives
By the end of the course, students will be able to:
- Apply Intuitive Defensive® Shooting fundamentals during a defensive incident.
- Utilize efficient firearm handling under dynamic conditions.
- Understand and implement Counter Ambush concepts with a defensive firearm.
