Interim Executives Academy Forum

Interim Executives Academy will launch the 2026 State of the Interim Profession Report at a national webinar, providing an insightful look at the growing field of interim executive leadership.

Drawing from practitioner interviews and case studies, the State of the Interim Profession report highlights:

  • The evolving landscape of interim leadership across the nonprofit sector
  • Competencies and standards emerging within the profession
  • How interim leaders support continuity, equity and long-term sustainability
  • The expectations and needs of nonprofit boards and staff during leadership transitions
  • Challenges and opportunities facing consultants and interim professionals

Attendees can expect an in-depth briefing on the report’s data and a discussion with Interim CEO and Editor-in-Chief of Nonprofit Quarterly magazine, Dr. Sara Hudson, on how nonprofit leaders and consultants can apply insights to improve succession planning and organizational stability during leadership transitions.

Additionally, we will examine what still resonates from the 2023 Report, what’s shifting and how interim professionals can shape a more supportive, inclusive and visible future for the field.

We hope you will consider attending the Forum and sharing this invitation within your networks via email and social media to increase understanding of how interim leadership serves the entire nonprofit sector.
