Hello everybody,
It's that time of year again! I am excited to announce the pro football themed bowling tournament, the Superb Owl is back!
Join us Sunday, February 1st, 2026 at AMF Rocklin Lanes for Superb Owl VI presented By Lucky Bowler Pro Shop. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:30pm (check-in opens at Noon). The entry fee is $75.00 per person. Please note: Entry is cash only and there is no ATM or cash back on site!
18 players are guaranteed to cash regardless of tournament size, and with 60 entries, the tournament will pay a guaranteed $800.00 1st place to the Superb Owl Champion!
The field will be limited to 102 players. Walk-ins will be welcome but reservations are encouraged!
Tournament Details:
- Singles format
- 5 games of qualifying over 5 pairs
- Handicap: 90% of 220 with 25 pins Max handicap (192 average and below)
- Average for Handicap: Highest composite USBC average of last 2 seasons with 21+ games

Tournament Format (Based on NFL Playoffs):
- All players will be randomly divided into 2 conferences (American Bowling and National Bowling) with each conference having 4 divisions (North, South, East and West)
- After a 5 game regular season (qualifying round), the player with the highest handicap score in each division will advance to the playoffs! The 3 highest non-division winners in each conference will also advance as Wild Cards!
- Playoff participants will be seeded #1 to #7 in each conference based on qualifying round scores. #1 seeds in each conference will have first round byes.
- Playoff matches will be 1 game single elimination, with the same handicap as qualifying round. Higher seed will have home lane advantage.
- 18 players are guaranteed to cash regardless of tournament entries (all 14 playoff participants plus the 2 highest non-playoff scores in each conference)
