Make Your Own Glass Heart
Working with an experienced glass blower, the student will learn how to apply different colors to molten glass, how to shape the semi-molten form and finally to inflate the glass into your heart shape. The heart will be cooled down and ready for pickup the following Monday after 5pm.
Students should not wear loose-fitting clothes nor clothes made of synthetic fabric (these melt easily).
Age Limit- 14 years old, minimum.
Build Your Own Heart Stand
Using oak wood, students will build a display stand for their glass hearts. Learn to use machines like a bandsaw, drill press, and different sanders to cut and assemble this beauty. Finish it off with polyurethane or mineral oil of your choice. This stand will be ready to go home with you at the end of the class!
