**SONGS IN SPANISH FOR THE CLASSROOM**

This first-time class is perfect for anyone who wants to be able to sing, play, and share songs in Spanish as part of teaching students and caring for young children. Whether you speak Spanish or not, songs can build a cultural or language bridge, and anyone can learn them. If you teach Hispanic students, or work in dual immersion, sharing songs in Spanish is a special experience. If you are teaching Spanish to English speakers, songs build vocabulary and pronunciation. Celebrating holidays with songs is wonderful, too. Tuesday, March 31 is Cesar Chavez day, and May 5 is Cinco de Mayo.

To take this class, please be able to play ukulele or guitar chords C, F, and G7 on ukulele or guitar. You are welcome to take an instrumental course this winter to help you with your uke or guitar skills while you are taking Songs in Spanish as well!

**Course Prerequisite: Total Beginner Ukulele**
