Developing Your Touch
Hybrid Session
1-day: In-person (4 hours total)
2-day/nights: Online (6 hours total)
The mission of this course is to empower students with the knowledge and skills to provide compassionate, therapeutic support to individuals experiencing anxiety, stress, and depression. Through a trauma-informed lens, students will explore the ethical foundations of healing touch and develop the confidence to work safely and respectfully with clients who may have histories of trauma or abuse.
Grounded in historical and contemporary understandings of the importance of human touch, this course offers hands-on practice and evidence-informed techniques that promote comfort, connection, and emotional well-being. By the end of the course, students will be able to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others through intentional, restorative touch.
Upon completion, students will:
- Understand the ethics of touch and how to apply them in diverse client interactions
- Demonstrate the ability to provide a chair massage
- Apply foundational lymphatic drainage techniques
- Guide clients through 12 restorative yoga poses
- Practice introductory quantum healing methods
Graduates will leave with a toolkit of healing practices that support holistic wellness and enhance the mind–body connection.
