Quilting 101
Join artists Patti and Deb for an inviting introduction to the art of quilting! In this beginner-friendly class, participants will learn how to create a Framed 9-Patch quilt block and finish it with decorative hand quilting using an accent color.
Patti and Deb will guide you step by step through the process, sharing foundational quilting skills and tips along the way. All fabrics, batting, and backing are provided, so you can focus on learning, stitching, and enjoying the rhythm of quilting. Sewing machines are also provided, but if you'd like to bring your own to use, feel free!
This class is perfect for those new to quilting, or anyone looking to build confidence with traditional techniques in a relaxed, supportive setting.
Activities are made possible in part by the Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana, the Indiana Arts Commission, a state agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
We value inclusion and access for all participants. This class is wheelchair accessible and we are pleased to provide additional reasonable accommodations. Please contact Alexianna at alexi@traditionalartstoday.org to make a reasonable accommodation request. Requests must be submitted 2 weeks in advance of class.
