Defensive Handgun 2 Course (3-hours)

This course builds on the skills from Defensive Handgun 1.

After a quick review, we will work on:

• Target selection/transition/failure to stop
• Use of cover
• Intermediate movement
• Mid to longer range shooting
• Problem solving while shooting
• FBI Qualification Scored Course of Fire.
• Head to head competition
• Dry practice drills

What to bring:

Unless you selected for me to provide loaner equipment.

• Your handgun.
• A belt holster made to fit your particular handgun, that protects the trigger guard and does not collapse when the gun is withdrawn. In front of or near hip position only. No trigger finger activated retention holsters (SERPA), please. Contact me for any questions.
• 300-400 rounds of ammunition.
• At least 2 magazines. More is better.
• If possible, 2 mag pouches for your belt.
• If you have your own shooting glasses and hearing protection, please bring them. If not, I have loaners available.

What to wear:

• A sturdy belt.
• A shirt with a snug collar
• A baseball cap or visor (to protect the gap at top of your eye protection)
• Closed-toe shoes (no sandals).
