Paper Adventures! With Val
Paper Adventures is an exciting class where we dive into the fun world of papermaking! Students start with hands-on learning making their own paper from recycled materials.
We will learn how to tear up old paper, mix it with water, and blend it to make pulp; then use screens to pull their very own sheets of paper. Students will get to add colorful dyes, sparkly glitter, and even bits of nature to make each sheet special and unique.
By the end of the class, everyone will have a stack of handmade paper to take home and a final project made from their handmade paper. Get ready to turn old magazine, books, and more into brand-new treasures!
This class will be held on Tuesdays from 3:30 pm- 5:00pm. There is a capacity of 12 students per class, and these classes will be held as a 8-week-long program! We ask that you please reach out if your student is unable to attend class at any point during the 8 weeks (alyssa@lucslight.org). Doors will open 15 minutes before classes start. Pickup will be at the end of each class.
This 8-week program will start on January 6th and end February 24th. Students ages 12-20 may join at any time! Please sign up for updates in the band app. https://band.us/n/a9a3b7B5eer5Q
