Junk Journaling! With Val
Unleash your interests and embrace everyday life with our super fun junk journaling* class! Turn ordinary scraps into amazing treasures. Learn how to transform old papers, ribbons, and bits 'n' bobs into a personalized one of a kind journal bursting with color and creativity. Together students will explore cool techniques like collage, stamping, and composition to make each page a unique expression of themselves! Get ready to recycle, create, and journal your he(art) out with Ms Val!
Please note it is encouraged that students bring items from outside of class to put into their journals for this class. It is not required.
What is “junk journaling”?
Junk journaling is a creative practice of collecting and pasting everyday items into a notebook/sketchbook to preserve memories and ideas. Similar to scrapbooking but with a greater freedom of expression and emphasis on organic composition.
This class will be held on Thursdays from 4:00 pm- 4:45 pm. There is a capacity of 12 students per class, and these classes will be held as a 8-week-long program! We ask that you please reach out if your student is unable to attend class at any point during the 8 weeks (alyssa@lucslight.org). Doors will open 15 minutes before classes start. Pickup will be at the end of each class.
