POSTPONED - Saving the Liberty Bell

Due to unforeseen circumstances this event is postponed. We are working with the presenter to identify a new date.

As our nation celebrates the 250th anniversary of American independence, rediscover a remarkable story from the Revolution’s earliest days. Learn how the Liberty Bell—our nation’s most enduring symbol of freedom—was secretly spirited away from Philadelphia to escape capture by the British Army. A presenter from the Lehigh County Historical Society will recount how the Bell found refuge beneath the floorboards of Zion’s Reformed Church in Allentown, where it lay hidden during the darkest days of the Revolution. This fascinating tale of courage, secrecy, and patriotism reveals how ordinary citizens helped preserve an extraordinary symbol of freedom.
