Beacon Rising Choir (BRC): A Choir Like No Other
Beacon Rising Choir is more than a musical ensemble—it’s a powerful, joyful community of female and non-binary treble singers (C3–C6 range) united by a shared commitment to creativity, connection, and collective care.
At BRC, we believe that singing together is a radical act of joy and resistance. We welcome singers of all backgrounds—from seasoned performers to those who have never sung in a choir before. Our members range in age from 21 to 80, creating a truly intergenerational and inclusive space where all voices are valued and respected.
Perfection isn’t the goal—authenticity is. We sing not just to perform, but to build relationships, uplift one another, and inspire change.
Our repertoire spans a wide variety of musical genres, with a focus on vibrant, socially resonant works by female, LGBTQIA+, and BIPOC composers and arrangers. Every song we sing reflects our values of social and environmental justice, compassionate community, and radical self-love and healing.
Our rehearsals officially run from 7:30-9pm. Choir members can arrive at 7pm to socialize and at 7:20 community announcements are made. As the concert grows near, rehearsals may start at 7pm, if additional time is needed.
Our next concert is planned for one evening between Thursday, June 11th and Sunday, June 14th, with rehearsals beginning in February. We also bring our voices out into the world—singing at nursing homes, community festivals, and local events whenever we’re able. Wherever we go, we bring spirit, solidarity, and song.
Join us, support us, or come hear us sing—because BRC is where voices rise, and community grows.
