Contemporary Impressionism: Landscape Painting by Luke Despatie
Course Overview: In this one-day workshop, immerse yourself in the expressive world of Contemporary Impressionist Landscape Painting. Designed for both emerging and intermediate painters, the workshop explores the fundamentals of landscape painting–composition, value, colour, and brushwork—while also delving into advanced techniques that capture light, atmosphere, and emotion.
Through demonstrations, guided exercises, and personalized feedback, you'll learn how to translate landscapes into paintings alive with dynamic movement and vibrant colour. Discussions on materials, techniques, and approaches will prepare you for both studio practice and future plein air explorations, giving you the tools to develop your own impressionist voice confidently.
