This two day course will examine in depth the skills and tactics needed to deter being a victim of a violent street encounter, and those needed to survive and prevail should that fail.

Close quarters shooting skills, dealing with the “how close is too close” problem

This is NOT a basic pistol course. Students should have already attended a basic pistol course of some type, to include understanding how to safely draw from a holster.
Students will need a modern drop safe semi auto pistol, a safe strong side holster that allows re-holstering and retains the pistol well.
Serpa holsters, soft concealed carry holsters that collapse after the gun is drawn, and hybrid type holsters, are not safe or suitable for the course. Outside or inside the waistband is allowed. My only exception for Serpas are active LEOs required by their agency to use this as an issued holster on duty, and the student will be using their duty belt for this course.
600 rounds of reliable ammunition. Eye and hearing protection, active hearing protection is strongly encouraged. A ball cap or other hat with a bill.
I will have loaner dummy guns for some of the drills we will be doing, however if a student has a dummy gun that matches their carry gear please bring that with you.
The $30 range fee for this event is built in to the class tuition price.
