Working with experienced instructors, eighteen (18) students will learn "hands-on" how to create a blown glass ornament/suncatcher and a welded metal stand.

Students will split into two groups; one group will help make a glass suncatcher (or round ornament) in the glass studio, while the other group builds the object’s stand by welding and grinding steel. The two groups will swap activities halfway through. Each student will create both a completed glass suncatcher/ornament and a metal stand for it to hang on.

Ornaments will cool slowly overnight in the annealer and be ready for pickup on February 23rd. We can make other pickup arrangements if those times don't work.

Please don't wear loose-fitting clothes for the "hands-on" exercise. Natural fiber (not synthetic) clothes are best and closed toe shoes are required.

Blow pipes will be sterilized between each use.

Age Limit- 14 years old, minimum.
