Liberty Arts

This class is designed to give students an introduction to two of the basics of metalsmithing and jewelry making, sawing and soldering. Students will learn how to use a jeweler’s saw and practice with simple exercises like sawing a self portrait. Two soldering techniques, pick soldering and sweat soldering. will be taught.

The class is limited to two students. Instruction will be by the “discuss, demo, do” approach. Classes are conducted in an air conditioned/heated classroom.

Materials fee, $35.00 (paid directly to the instructor) includes all metal, copper and sterling silver, as well as studio supplies.
