Acorn Cup Annual Tournament

Each team registration may get 1 or 2 free agents randomly assigned to keep the game fun and about community.

Come celebrate outdoor hockey and our wonderful community-based program on New Year's Day (January 1st) from Noon-5ish pm at Langford Park. The details are casual and many ideas have originated after 9pm, while watching ice form on the rinks and in lip of a beer can - but here are the basics:

• Who? Langford Park Hockey and the Community, Friends, and Family that support LPH
• What? A fun, festive day of skating with bon fires, skate sharpening, maybe s'mores, maybe hotdogs, maybe just skating
• What else? A 3v3 hockey tournament - open to any and all (sign up as a team of 4 but be welcome to up to 2 free agents.)
• When? January 1st from 12-5pm. 
• Why? Because being a hockey parent can be a drag if you're just carting your kids to and from Oscar Johnson - why not embrace the community element, and partake in some family fun and celebrate our unique program
• What do I need to do: Come skate on the 31st. Send Pat a note if you have energy and excitement to share/add.

• $40/team - goes to LPH program OR $10/free agent individual (random team assignment)
• 3v3 tournament - just pickup, pond hockey, no goalies
• Open to anyone
• Games every 30 minutes on three, half rinks (3, 6 minute periods with 1 min intermission and 10 minutes between games)
• Teams of 4-6 players
• Three Divisions - Mite/SQ, PW/BAN, Open (Teen/Adult)
• Pool Play with championship. 2 game minimum for Youth, 3 game minimum for Adult/Open
