Stone Setting - Cabochon Ring, 3 hours, $150

Stones are an important part of jewelry. They add color, shape, and depth creating additional elements of visual interest. This class, focussing on cabochons will provide students with basic setting techniques that can be used to create pins, pendants, earrings, and rings. Techniques demonstrated will include both hand fabricated and pre-made bezel settings.Students will then mount their set stone onto a ring shank they have constructed.

The class is limited to two students. Instruction will be by the “discuss, demo, do” approach.

Classes are conducted in an air conditioned/heated classroom.

Materials fee, $75.00 (paid directly to the instructor) includes stones, bezel wire, pre-made bezels, tubes as well as studio supplies.
